Hello, I have yet another tag for you today! (I promise I will be doing posts other than tags soon but I'm going on vacation soon so I don't really have time to take all the pictures I need to do a review or haul) So anyway here goes the new tag:
1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup? The first time I wore makeup was probably when I was around 6 or 7, because I had dance recitals where I had to wear stage makeup. When I started wearing some everyday makeup though was probably around 13, maybe earlier. It's hard to think of an exact time because I really eased into it slowly. At that time I really only wore concealer, some eyeshadow, maybe mascara, and little powder foundation. I started wearing a full face of make up on a regular basis during sophomore year of highschool so I guess when I was around 15.
2. How did you get into makeup? As I said previously, I was in dance recitals so I got to experience make up from a young age. My sister and her best friend would also let me play around with the make up when I was little, they would let me put it on them and they would put it on me. That's where I started getting interested with it. When I really started getting into makeup though was when I randomly discovered Kandee Johnson on YouTube and started watching her make tutorials and tips. She was really my biggest inspiration to start wearing everyday make up. My other inspirations to be more daring with my make up and start wearing foundation and more dramatic eyes have been Ingrid (missglamorazzi), Fleur (FleurDeForce), and Allison (amarixe). All four of them have inspired me so much and I am so thankful for their videos and credit them completely for me writing these blogs today. If it were not for them I would probably not be wearing make up (or at least not much) and wouldn't have discovered how much I enjoy it!
3. What are some of your favorite brands? Well I really only use drugstore brands so Maybelline, Revlon, Nyx, and Covergirl are pretty much my go to brands, though I like Loreal and Elf as well.
4. What does makeup mean to you? Makeup means so much to me. It gives me confidence and is a way for me to express what I'm feeling. It also fun and I love the creativity of it. It also something that makes me feel calm and in control. I give myself a lot of time to do my makeup because I don't like rushing it I like to enjoy every minute of putting my makeup on and allowing myself time to really execute what I want to well. At the camp I went to during the summer I put my make up every morning (not a full face but a descant portion of it) even though it was an outdoorsy camp and I knew that it didn't matter how I looked. It was a way for me to get my calm before the craziness of the day started and helped to fully wake me up before I had to help raise the flag. It also made me feel more at home to be doing something that I normally did at home.
5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be? This is pretty easy actually I would use Revlon 24 hr color stay foundation, Garnier anti dark circle roller, Covergirl Lashblast 24 hr mascara, and Nyx beige lip gloss.
6. What is your favorite thing about makeup? How you can do so much with it and really have fun with it! You can keep it really simple and natural or you can go all out and be bold and daring, whatever you feel like at the time.
7. What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup? I think at this point a lot of drug store make up is almost as good or equally as good as high end make up. There are still some things that high end companies still do better than drug store (like primers, highlighters, and maybe setting powders too) and the high end companies do usually have a lot better color selection and variety than the drug store though. I prefer using drug store makeup because it is cheaper and since I am still testing out what works for me and what doesn't it is a lot less expensive and I feel less guilty when I get a product that doesn't end up working out.
8. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner? Keep it fun. That may sound cliche but it's important. If you aren't having fun with your makeup then it's not worth the time. I would also suggest mixing things up, trying new things with makeup is part of the fun.
9. What is one makeup trend you never understood? Purple lips, I think it just looks really weird and unnatural. I know some people really love it but I just never have understood it... To each his own though. If you really love purple lips please leave me a comment tell me why because I'm curious what you guys think.
10. What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube? I think it is amazing, I really hope to someday be a part of it and it has become one of my dreams for the future. I would not be writing this blog right now if it weren't for the all those girls who made or are now part of the beauty community on YouTube. I owe almost all my knowledge about makeup to them and as I hope to someday help other young girls like the beauty girls helped me.

Would You Rather Tag!
Here's a new tag for you guys! I googled beauty tags and found this one on frmheadtotoe.com and thought it would be fun to do! So here it goes...
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows? Strangely enough I would rather loose my pallets and eyeshadows. The reason is that I don't feel complete going out of the house without my mascara and I also think that adding a little color on my lips makes me look more alive. So overall it would be a lot harder to go without them even though I do enjoy my eyeshadow and would miss them a lot!
2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? Oh my goodness none of those options would be good for my hair! Since my hair is so curly growing it out would be a pain even though it tends to grow quickly. Then again never being able to cut my hair would be a disaster because when it gets really long it gets really flat and heavy. I guess I would have to chop my hair off cuz it would grow back and I could still maintain/trim it when it grew out enough.
3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek? pink cheek, I think it complements my skin tone a little better for a day to day basis and blends with more colors than coral.
4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup? That's hard, I love both! But... oh this is really tough! I guess make up because I feel like I could get a lot more bang for my buck with make up than with clothes. Make up in general tends to be cheaper so I could get more make up then I could get clothes.
5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick? um... weird questions but lipstick as eye liner. Eyeliner colors generally would not make good lip colors so I would rather wear lipstick colors as eyeliner because it would be less weird.
6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora? Sephora, since they're are multiple brands at Sephora I would have more options.
7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life? One lip color, I honestly could live pretty easily with only one lip color as long as it was fairly neutral.
8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter? Summer clothes in winter, I think I'm better with being cold than hot and usually in winter, unless you're outside, it's not to cold.
9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round? bright nails. This answer is pretty easy since I don't really like dark nails and love bright nails.

This Or That Tag Part 3
Here's the third and final part of the This Or That Tag
HAIR:
HAIR:
curly or straight - curly, I have naturally very curly and very thick hair and because of that straightening it takes over an hour. On top of that I don't think straight hair is as flattering on me so it's not really worth the time to do more than a couple times a year.
bun or ponytail - Ponytail, I like both styles with my hair but I like the look of a ponytail better most of the time.
bobby pins or butterfly clips - bobby pins, they're more versatile than butterfly clips.
hair spray or gel - I don't really use either most of the time since my main hair product is a cream but if I had to choose one of those I would choose gel since it's the closest to my hair cream.
light or dark - that's tough cuz I have medium/medium light colored hair and that is the shade range that I do like most but if I had to die my hair either light or dark I would probably go dark I guess
side sweep bangs or full bangs - I don't really like having bangs because of my curly hair but I guess I would prefer side sweep bangs since I like the look of them more.
up or down - Half the time I wear my up and half the time down but I like the look of it down more cuz it shows off my curls more.
RANDOM:
RANDOM:
Rain or shine - definitely shine! I love sunny weather and I hate when it's grey and rainy.
Summer or winter - I like both fairly equally but I like winter a little more. I love it because I love the snow. Also Christmas is in winter and my birthday is around that time of year so all in all winter is a nice time.
Fall or spring - spring! Spring is my favorite season! You can still get a little snow around here in early spring and in late spring it is the perfect warm weather. I also love the flowers coming up and how beautiful it is. Also I like how the bees haven't arrived in full force yet.
Chocolate or vanilla - chocolate, I do like vanilla but not as much as chocolate.
East coast or west coast - east coast since that's where I've lived all my life. I don't have anything against the west coast (I love it there too) but I just feel more at home in the east.

This Or That Tag Part 2
Here is part two of the this or that tag:
BODY:
perfume or body splash: Body splash, I tend to like lighter scents so I'm usually drawn to body sprays more than perfume and body spray also tends to be cheaper than perfume which is a plus. Also my dad is allergic to artificial scents so the fact that body sprays don't last as long works out well for me because they wear off by the time he gets home.
lotion or body butter - lotion, I prefer the lighter feel of lotion.
body wash or soap - Soap, I recently have really gotten into lush and I have fallen in love with their soaps. I like how you can get a exfoliation from a bar of soap and find using soap more relaxing to use than a body wash.
lush or other bath company - As I said before, I have fallen in love with lush soaps so I have to go with Lush, although I also really like bath and body works.
FASHION:
jeans or sweat pants - this is tough, it really depends on what I'm doing, for going out I like jeans more but for lounging around the house I prefer sweatpants... If I had to pick though, I would have to say jeans, just because I like the look of them better.
long sleeve of short - Short sleeve, I find short sleeves more comfortable and you can always add a jacket or hoodie over a short sleeved shirt if its a cool day, long sleeved shirts however are always going to be warm.
dresses or skirts - I have to go with dresses. They are a lot easier and more care free because I don't have to worry about whether my top and bottom matches. It's also easier to find a cute dress than it is to find a cute skirt.
stripes or plaid - probably plaid, I like both but I prefer my plaid shirts to my striped ones. plus I think plaid can sometimes be more flattering on me than stripes.
flip flops or sandals - Flip flops, I would wear my flip flops year round if I could!
scarves or hats - Definitely scarves! I think scarves can make a simple outfit look more put together and thought out. Plus they come in so many beautiful colors and can be warn easily year round.
studs or dangly earrings - dangly earings, I don't have pierced ears so it's really hard to get stud earrings (the clips tend to make them look really bulky) and I think that some of the dangly earings actually can really comliment my facial structure. They also tend to make me look a bit better when my hair is not cooperating and I have to throw it up in a ponytail or bun.
necklaces or bracelets - this is another tough one, I really like both, but if I have to pick I go with necklaces. Sometimes wearing bracelets can get on my nerves because they get in my way but necklaces don't tend to do that.
heels or flats - a year ago I would have said heels because I's only 4'11'' and any extra height I can get is nice but I have been enjoying wearing flats because they are much more comfortable to wear over long periods of time and can be dressed up and dressed down.
cowboy boots or riding boots - I don't really wear either but I do prefer cowboy boot over riding boot. I fell a little more comfortable in them.

forever 21 or charlotte russe - I haven't been in charlotte russe but I really like forever 21 so even tough I can;t compare I think I'd still prefer Forever 21.
abercrombie or Hollister - Again I haven't been in either store but from what I've seen I think I would like abercrombie better

This Or That Tag Part 1
I really enjoyed watching an old video of missglamorazzi on youtube where she did this tag and thought it would be really fun to answer it myself so here we go (I am going to be doing it in three parts so it is not overwhelming long)
MAKEUP:
blush or bronzer - definitely blush! Until recently I didn't even own a bronzer (on account of me being very pale) and while I do like using it I feel like I can go without that a lot easier than blush.
lip gloss or lipstick - Lip gloss, I'm not very comfortable with bold lips colors (something I am working on) so I prefer wearing lip gloss, that tends to be more sheer, than lipstick.
eye liner or mascara - mascara, I rarely leave the house without at least putting a little mascara on. Plus I barely wear eye liner (I usually just use eye shadow)
foundation or concealer - this is hard... I 've just started really getting into foundation and it usually covers my acne pretty well but if I don't have time to work with I will use just concealer... I guess I will say concealer because I tend to go out more with just concealor.
neutral or color eye shadow - neutral. Don't get me wrong, I love me some color but neutral eye shadow is definitely more wearable on a daily basis.
pressed or loose eye shadows - pressed, I have two loose shadows and thy are a pain to work with because they get everywhere! (and I mean everywhere!)
brushes or sponges - brushes, I have worked with sponges before and they are nice but you can do more with brushes and I feel like they are easier to control.
NAILS:
OPI or china glaze - Probably OPI but I don't know for shore because I haven't tried any Chine Glaze (I tend to go for more drug store brand nail polish)
Long or short - long! My nails are naturally very strong so I can grow them out long very easily. In fact I have to remember to trim them down because they can get too long...
Acrylic or natural - natural, I have good nails already so I don't see the point of covering them with acrylic nails.
Brights or darks - brights! I love wearing bright colors on my nails.
Flower or no flower - no flower, I usually prefer to have just straight nail polish unless I'm going to a special dance or something.

Hello, my name is Suzanne. My blog is titled Sairawen because that is an elvish name my friend gave me and I think it is beautiful! (I believe Saira means wise in Quenya) I am starting this blog because I want to review products, answer tags, and have a place to express myself.
